The Blues Band

The Blues Band was formed in 1979, by ex-Manfred Mann group members Paul Jones and Tom McGuinness, originally to play a few pub gigs on Paul Jones' nights off from his then full time career as an actor in London's West End.

Twenty albums/CDs later with a line-up of Paul, Tom, Dave Kelly, Rob Townsend and Gary Fletcher, they are still going strong.

With an international reputation of being amongst the very finest purveyors of rhythm and blues, The Blues Band are known for giving stunning, soulful performances, they are favourites on the European Festival scene and in 2010 made their seventh appearance at Glastonbury Festival.

In October 2011, their new studio album Few Short Lines was released on Repertoire Records to great acclaim.
