Raymonda

Live from the Bolshoi State Theatre
A spectacular ballet based on the legends of medieval knights, with fantastic set and costume design and a lush exotic score by Alexander Glazunov.
Founded in 1898, Raymonda is a masterpiece embodying a key period in classical ballet.
It tells the tale of a French noblewoman betrothed to a Crusader Knight, and her attempted abduction by a spurned Saracen. The ballet ends with the famous Hungarian dance in honour of the King.
