Lorraine Bates - 'Earth, Wheel & Fire'

Lorraine’s work at Woodsetton Art Pottery is rooted in the traditional Black Country techniques of hand metalworking with inspiration from the Arts and Crafts era. 

The stoneware and porcelain clays are formed using traditional techniques of throwing, hand-building and casting, but always to make pieces with a use, whilst the long kiln firings ensure that each glaze effect is unique.

Gallery opening hours: Monday - Saturday, 10.00am - 4.00pm and 1 hour before evening performances.
