Thursday 7th January to Wednesday 17th February This exhibition brings together work from woodturner Ray Key and ceramicist Bridget Drakeford. Ray Key has been turning wood for over forty years and his work has been featured in numerous exhibitions worldwide. Ray embraces a minimalist approach in the ongoing quest to produce objects of beauty and elegant simplicity. An interest in oriental ceramics led Bridget to develop her own style, working exclusively in porcelain taking her inspiration from Eastern ceramics. She makes a speciality of teapots, incorporating silver, wood and other metals in the detailed fittings. Other shapes include large vases, jugs, bottles and bowls. She researches and makes her own glazes based on traditional Chinese glazes.
