Through a series of flashbacks a man recently out of prison recalls his life as a young man in the 1930s and 40s in Prague looking back on his life, loves and various jobs. We follow the diminutive Jan Dite (Ivan Barnev) on his journey from train station sausage seller to millionaire hotel owner, only for him to end up disgraced as a Nazi collaborator. This intriguing and beautifully shot comedy is an entertaining and highly watchable satire on greed and gullibility.
