This Powell and Pressburger classic and winner of two Oscars is widely considered to be one of the greatest films ever made. It focuses on Vicky (Moira Shearer), a young ballerina starring in a ballet The Red Shoes. Vicky’s life becomes split between her simple human passion and artistic devotion to her profession and ultimately she must choose between love and her art. The film contains ballet sequences of stylistic mastery, and is visually one of the most innovative and beautiful works of cinema ever created. Starring Moira Shearer, Marius Goring, Anton Walbrook and Royal Ballet star Robert Helpmann.
