Based on a book by John Lennon's half-sister Julia Baird, Nowhere Boy tells the story of the Beatles frontman’s teenage years and his relationships with his adoptive parent, aunt Mimi (Kristin Scott Thomas), and birth mum Julia (Anne-Marie Duff). The film shows a troubled fifteen year old Lennon (Aaron Johnson) struggling to hold on to his romantic vision of the world amidst growing family turmoil. A fascinating look at the early years of one of music’s most influential figures.
