A perfect Easter confection, this delightful Lerner and Loewe musical is based on a story by Collette and follows a precocious French girl (Leslie Caron) as she is groomed into a would-be courtesan and blossoms into a beautiful woman ready for romance. Also starring Louis Jourdan, Eva Gabor and Maurice Chevalier, who gives a wonderful performance as Gigi’s sophisticated uncle. Minnelli pulls out all the stops to create a feast for the senses with gorgeous costumes, Parisian locations and classic songs including Gigi, Thank Heaven for Little Girls, and Ah, Yes, I Remember It Well - Leslie Caron never looked or sounded lovelier! Winner of nine Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director.
