Helen Mirren gives a spellbinding performance as Sofva, the long-suffering wife of Russian novelist Leo Tolstoy (Christopher Plummer), in this drama based on Jay Parini's novel. Merging fact and fiction The Last Station focuses on the final years of Tolstoy’s life. Also starring James McAvoy as a young man who works for the couple, and Paul Giamatti as an advisor to the writer who fights Sofva over financial issues.
