Written and directed by Academy Award Winner Giuseppe Tornatore (
Cinema Paradiso). The story follows Peppino Torrenuova (Francesco Scianna) from his childhood as a high-spirited cowherd’s son in the 1930s, to his forbidden romance and marriage to the beautiful Mannina (Margareth Madè). Baarìa is filled with Italian charm, beautiful imagery and confident performances played out to a soundtrack by the great Ennio Morricone.
