Evolutionary theories, the ten Avatars of Vishnu, the undefeatable force of Shakti and the co-existence of opposites are all explored in this exhilarating dance production. Compelling stories from Hindu literature unfold as the choreography, music and visuals take you on a magical journey back in time to when the universe first began.

Chitraleka Bolar and Mayuri Upadhya’s choreography blends the classical Indian dance style of Bharatanatyam with contemporary movements to create a stunning piece of dance combined with evocative digital imagery, multimedia projection and spectacular lighting design. The musical score by Praveen Rao and Raghu Dixit creates a novel and exciting “sound ecosystem” to bring the dance (literally) to life!

A collaboration between Chitraleka Dance Company (UK) and Nritarutya (India) Maya Ayam is performed by four renowned UK and India dancers.
