Saturday 9th July 2011

6.30pm

Live via satellite from the Opera National de Paris

Inspired by Jacques Prévert’s scenario for the Marcel Carné film, choreographer José Martinez brings to life 19th century Paris, revealing a magical and mysterious world in this magnificent ballet.

Le Ballet de l’Opéra de Paris is one of the world's finest companies. Its repertoire is extensive, ranging from major romantic and classical ballets to creations by the most prestigious contemporary choreographers. With one of the youngest corps de ballet in the world (with dancers of an average age of twenty-five) the company performs up to 180 times per season in Paris, France and around the world.

Latecomers will not be admitted until a convenient break in the performance.

Tickets: Between £15, 16 & Under £10

Running time: 145mins
