Following on from the companies touring success with their previous production Chatsva, Tavaziva Dance's six high-octane dancers return in Spring 2009 with a new repertory show created by award-winning Zimbabwean-born choreographer and composer Bawren Tavaziva, bringing his trademark fusion of African sensibility, music and dance moves within an entirely Western contemporary theatre context.

Tavaziva Dance explores new territories in combining the rich and diverse traditional dance forms of Africa within a contemporary Western base. The company inspires and entertains audiences with a high-energy dance vocabulary, skilled technical dancers, original music and a totally unique perspective on African dance, complemented by high quality education and outreach work.
