Flush

Tuesday 31st March 2009

7.30pm

Presented by VAMOS Youth Theatre

This is the story of Bessie, a 70 year toilet attendant in “Flush” Nightclub. It’s set in the 1980s with flashbacks to the 1940s and tells her life story along the way with love and laughter, loss and lunacy. It is performed in mask and is full of visual inventiveness, music and song (from the 40s and 80s), incorporating physical theatre, clown and puppetry.

This is Vamos Youth Theatre’s third year and most ambitious project to date. Directed by Rachael Savage of Vamos Theatre (ex Trestle Theatre), with masks made in collaboration with Strangeface Theatre and performed by Vamos Youth Theatre’s county wide talented young people.

If you love mask theatre this is one not to miss.

Tickets £7 (concessions £5)
