W’ire Dance Company, Worcestershire’s county youth dance company, will be performing in two diverse and dynamic programmes of youth dance.

The programmes on Thursday and Friday will showcase different works. There will be premiere performances of many of the dances, including a piece based on the life of Edith Piaf, using extracts of her music.

W’ire will be joined by other young, exciting companies from across the West Midlands including Hereford based 2FaCeD DaNce, ACE and Jecl from Birmingham, the local dancefest group dFY, and the dynamic all male company, beingfrank youth.

W’ire Dance Company was formed over 5 years ago to provide an opportunity for talented young people from Worcestershire Local Authority schools to create work for performance and to develop their contemporary technique and choreography through working with professional dance artists.
