The Fire Fighting First Aiders are running free first aid training sessions at Number 8 on Friday 16 February.
A small team of full and part-time paid staff work alongside a pool of over 200 volunteers to deliver Number 8’s extensive programme of events, films, creative courses and exhibitions.

Schools Liaison Officer
Contact Ellen if you represent a school and would like to find out more about activities and events at Number 8. We can offer private screenings of a film of your choice, bespoke workshops and the hire of facilities for school shows. We are keen to develop links with schools so please contact us to find out more about the ways we can work together.
Front of House Managers

Ruth and Heather oversee front of house stewarding, training and managing stewards for all our films and live events.
Coffee Bar Manager
Sally manages our busy coffee bar during the daytime ensuring that Coffee bar volunteers maintain excellent standards of hygiene and customer service.
Box Office Manager
Our Box Office Manager heads up a busy team of volunteers who handle tickets sales and customer enquiries. They also ensure that all our activities are programmed into our computerised ticketing system and that volunteers are fully trained to operate the system.

Board of Trustees
Number 8 is governed by a Board, members of which are both Trustees of the Charity and Directors of Number 8 Ltd, a Company Limited by Guarantee. The Board is ultimately responsible for the overall management, conduct and strategic direction of Number 8. The Board members bring together a wealth of skills and experience in management, finance, industry, education, the arts and entertainment. Four of the Board members, along with the two senior Managers, make up the Executive management group responsible for the day to day operation of the organisation. Other Board members input their expertise or take the lead on specific projects or spearhead fundraising campaigns.
