Thursday 8th May to Wednesday 18th JuneMark specialises in high quality turned decorative and functional bowls and individual vessels using simple designs to bring out the natural beauty and variations in colour, texture and figuring of local timbers. Most of his recent work is more an exploration of line and form rather than an effort at an artistic statement. He turns thin walled vessels and with each piece strives to make a perfect form or at least something a little closer to it than anything he has done before. Then, trying to achieve the purist possible curve, areas are carved away adding life and movement to each piece.
