Pershore Embroiderers - 'Stitches in Time'

Thursday 19th June to Wednesday 30th July

This year Pershore Embroiderers celebrate their 25th Anniversary. It was formed in 1983 by a group of enthusiasts wishing to share their interest and knowledge of embroidery, it has covered many aspects of needlework.  The members welcome the opportunity to display their versatility and diverse talents of the group.  This exhibition has examples of lace making, hardanger, patchwork, blackwork, stumpwork and much more.  Whist appreciating and retaining traditional skills, the group seeks to extend its expertise with a series of demonstrations and workshops  throughout the year.

‘Surroundings' is an exhibition of images from around Worcester and the Vale of Evesham from a photographer who explores textures, patterns and colours in unexpected places.

Lola

The Life of Lola Montez; a true story of passion and pain

Directed by Emily Gray and devised Trestle Theatre Company

Trestle is collaborating with Increpacion Danza who specialise in a stunning fusion of Flamenco and Contemporary dance styles.

Lola Montez, the infamous 19th century fake Spanish dancer, actress and femme fatale, stormed her way through life in a tumultuous journey of seduction, sorrow and success.

Humph Hack - 'The Grand Tour'

Since retirement from teaching, the artist and his wife have emulated 'The Grand Tour' of previous generations - collecting material for the paintings in this exhibition.  There are images of buildings from many European towns and cities including some from Worcestershire.

The Staffordshire & Arrow Valley Brass Bands

The Staffordshire Band, Midlands Area Champions and Albert Hall Finalists in 2007, and the popular Arrow Valley Brass, return for their second joint concert at Number 8. They will be joined once again by the Soprano Sue Troth.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull is the eagerly awaited forth installment in the series, and of course stars the ruggedly handsome Harrison Ford in the title role, slightly older and certainly more cynical. Starring Cate Blanchett, Karen Allen, Ray Winstone, John Hurt, Jim Broadbent, and Shia LaBeouf. Pershore Dance Festival

Friday 25th July to Tuesday 29th July

The Pershore Dance Festival has been in existence in its present form for some 13 years and is very proud and excited to be able to perform at Number 8.

The festival is a stage dance competition for entrants aged between 3 & 21 years and attracts competitors from around the West Midlands and surrounding areas.
