Dunkirk (12A)

Tom Hardy, Kenneth Branagh and Mark Rylance star in this WWII thriller which opens as hundreds of thousands of British and Allied troops are surrounded by enemy forces. Trapped on the beach at Dunkirk with their backs to the sea, they face an impossible situation as the enemy closes in. The film follows the troops as, under air and ground cover from British and French forces, they are slowly and methodically evacuated.
