Love blossoms during WWII in this film based on Alan Judd’s novel The Kaiser’s Last Kiss. Kaiser Wilhelm II (Christopher Plummer) is living in exile in Holland and the German authorities fear a Dutch spy is watching him. Sent to investigate a German soldier (Jai Courtney) finds himself drawn into a passionate romance with one of the Kaiser’s maids (Lily James).
