Pershore Embroiderers - 'Stitches in Time'

Thursday 19th June to Wednesday 30th July

This year Pershore Embroiderers celebrate their 25th Anniversary. It was formed in 1983 by a group of enthusiasts wishing to share their interest and knowledge of embroidery, it has covered many aspects of needlework.  The members welcome the opportunity to display their versatility and diverse talents of the group.  This exhibition has examples of lace making, hardanger, patchwork, blackwork, stumpwork and much more.  Whist appreciating and retaining traditional skills, the group seeks to extend its expertise with a series of demonstrations and workshops  throughout the year.

Humph Hack - 'The Grand Tour'

Thursday 10th July to Tuesday 29th July

Since retirement from teaching, the artist and his wife have emulated 'The Grand Tour' of previous generations - collecting material for the paintings in this exhibition.  There are images of buildings from many European towns and cities including some from Worcestershire.

Pershore Dance Festival

The Pershore Dance Festival has been in existence in its present form for some 13 years and is very proud and excited to be able to perform at Number 8.

The festival is a stage dance competition for entrants aged between 3 & 21 years and attracts competitors from around the West Midlands and surrounding areas.

Matt Grimmitt - 'Forgotten Functionality

Thursday 31st July to Wednesday 10th September
Matt makes functional Slipware Pottery using red earthenware clay, decorated with coloured slips and lovely rich glazes in the traditional manner from a small studio at his home in Evesham.Event details »

4 Severn Artists - 'The Coloured Counties & Beyond'

Thursday 31st July to Tuesday 19th August
Places, people, animals, and abstracts by four diverse artists working in oils, acrylics, pastels and prints often combining two or more mediums.   Living in the Severn Valley provides subject matter from hills, rivers, forest and farm to tall ships and townscapes. Event details »

Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (PG)

Friday 1st August to Thursday 7th August
The film finds the four Pevensie siblings pulled back into the magical land of Narnia where 400 years have passed since they left. The children are again enlisted to join the colourful creatures of Narnia who have been driven into the wild unfriendly parts of the land.Event details »

Youth Theatre Assistant

Voluntary Position          

Number 8 are looking for a creative, energetic and responsible young person (16 years old and above) to work alongside our Youth Theatre Leader to deliver weekly drama classes for 7-11 year olds and/or 12+ year olds.
