Booking for our Spring Season Now Open

Booking is now open for our vibrant Spring season.  The season gets off to a fine start as we welcome two very brilliant women. Joanna Trollope will be on stage In Conversation about her new novel on Thursday 2 March, 7.30pm and then later in the month, Saturday 11 March, 2.30pm, Dame Patricia Routledge will be Facing the Music, sharing tales from her early career in musical theatre.

Spring always brings a good crop of films with many that have won or have been nominated for awards to choose from, including Manchester by the Sea, Moonlight, Lion, Hacksaw Ridge, Fences, Toni Erdmann and Elle. We also have additional screenings of La La Land, I, Daniel Blake, Sully and A Street Cat Named Bob which proved extremely popular first time around.

Music this Spring is varied with concerts from the Orchestra of the Swan, Marc Robinson as Buddy Holly – A Legend Reborn, Budapest Café Orchestra, Treorchy Male Voice Choir and Simon Goodall and the Bourne Again Shadows.

Via satellite Number 8 have the Royal Opera’s Madama Butterfly on Thursday 30 March, 7.15pm and a brand new Bolshoi ballet production of A Hero of Our Time on Sunday 9 April, 4.00pm. The National Theatre Live season continues with Ruth Wilson taking the lead in Hedda Gabler on Thursday 9 March, 7pm and Tamsin Greig as Malvolia in a new twist on Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night on Thursday 6 April, 7pm. Later on Thursday 20 April Daniel Radcliffe, Joshua McGuire and David Haig star in a production of Tom Stoppard’s brilliant comedy Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead.

If you’re looking for creative activity there’s the opportunity to try your hand at Spring Stitchery on Tuesday 4 April or get up and boogie in the Chance to Dance Disco Workshop. There is also plenty of creative talent on display in the Number 8 gallery and craft cabinets.

It’s all happening at Number 8 this season – Spring really has sprung!
