L’immensità (12A)

Penelope Cruz stars in this vibrant drama set in a sun-drenched Rome during the ‘70s. Clara (Cruz) is unhappily married to her philandering Italian husband but doesn’t want to break up their family. Glorying in her role as mother to their three children Clara finds joy in the day to day, often to be found singing and dancing to pop songs as she lays the table.

When oldest child, 12-year-old Adriana, adopts the name Andrew and introduces herself in their new neighbourhood as a boy, the family’s bond is pushed towards breaking point.
