Red Island (12A)

In Madagascar in the early 70s a few armed forces and their families live in one of the last French military bases abroad, a relic of France’s ending colonial empire. Influenced by the intrepid comic book heroine Fantômette, ten-year-old Thomas surveys the seemingly carefree life around him. Gradually his eyes are opened to a different reality.
