The Great Escaper (12A)

Starring Michael Caine and Glenda Jackson, this bittersweet drama tells the true story of Bernard Jordan (Caine) the WWII veteran who escaped from his care home in June 2014 to attend the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings in France.

Jordan’s 48-hour adventure sparked a police search and made headlines around the world, thrusting him and his beloved wife Irene (Jackson) into the media spotlight.

The film marks the last on-screen appearance of Glenda Jackson, who died on 15 June this year.
