The Red Shoes (PG)

The winner of two Oscars, this Powell and Pressburger classic stars Moira Shearer as Vicky, a young ballerina dancing in the ballet The Red Shoes.

While her instructor (Anton Walbrook) urges her to forget anything but ballet, Vicky begins to fall for the charming young composer (Marius Goring). Ultimately, Vicky must choose between love and her art.

The film contains ballet sequences of stylistic mastery and is visually one of the most innovative and beautiful works of cinema ever created.
