This haunting drama set during WWII focuses on the commandant of Auschwitz, Rudolf Hoss, and his wife Hedwig, as they strive to build a dream life for their family in a house and garden next to the camp. Loosely adapted from the Martin Amis novel.

Nominated for three Golden Globes including Best Motion Picture, and nine BAFTAs including Outstanding British Film.
