Venue Hire

Number 8 offers high quality facilities for hire in the unique atmosphere of a community arts centre. Whether you’re looking for a conference venue, a room in which to hold a training course, workshop, meeting or party, or wish to stage a live event we have the space for you!

With a venue including a 250 seat Auditorium, Courtyard Room studio space, Abbey Room meeting room, and The Foyer space to choose from we can provide a suitable space to hire, whatever your event. Our prices are competitive with discounts available for community groups, registered charities and those who hire space on a regular basis.

We pride ourselves on providing a thorough and responsive service from the early booking stages through to the successful execution of your event, with the help of our excellent in-house team.

Equipment & Staffing
A variety of equipment is available for hire including a portable 50” NEC Plasma Screen, TV, laptop, digital projector, mobile screen and flipcharts. For larger scale events our Auditorium is equipped to a high standard (for a copy of the Auditorium Technical Specification click here) and we can provide technical support, stewards and ticketing.

Catering
The Number 8 Coffee Bar is open Monday to Saturday from 10am until 4pm. Hirers of the Abbey Room are welcome to bring in their own refreshments using the kitchen facilities provided in the space. Number 8 can also provide teas, coffees, soft drinks, cakes and biscuits for hirers at competitive rates. Lunches or buffets are available through outside caterers. (Number 8 is happy to recommend some local providers.)
