Donations & Bequests

As a registered charity Number 8 welcomes donations to support our mission.

Any donation you can make, whether large or small, will help us to continue the work we do to provide arts and leisure activities, education, and opportunities, enhancing the cultural life and wellbeing of the community.

Donate Online
If you would like to support us you can make a donation online. If you are a UK taxpayer you can choose to add Gift Aid to your donation. Gift Aid is a scheme that allows charities to claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give, without any additional cost to you.

Payroll Giving
Payroll Giving is a way to give one-off or regular donations through your employment. It allows anyone who receives their pay through payroll to give regularly and on a tax-free basis to the charities and good causes of their choice.

Payroll Giving donations are deducted before tax so for every £1.00 that you give it will only cost you 80p, and if you’re a higher rate taxpayer it will only cost you 60p.

Employees are allowed to nominate any charity they like to receive the donation – they are not restricted to their employer’s choice of charity.

This scheme is operated by Payroll Giving Agencies. Check with your employer to see if you have a scheme or check online at www.payrollgiving.co.uk

Donate Goods
Our Just After 8 Charity Shop, situated just around the corner at 23 Broad Street, welcomes donations of second-hand books, furniture, bric-a-brac, DVDs, jewellery and CDs. The shop is open Wednesday to Saturday, 10am – 4pm and donations can be accepted during opening hours. Funds raised by the shop help to support Number 8’s activities and special projects, so why not clear out your clutter and help support the arts in Pershore?

Making a Bequest

By leaving a gift to Number 8 in your will you can share your passion for the arts, entertainment, and education and support the work that Number 8 does to educate, promote the arts, encourage creativity and improve the wellbeing of the community.

Your bequest will support our work and help ensure that future generations can enjoy Number 8 just as you have.

You can make a bequest with a simple addition or codicil to an existing will. If you are a UK resident, your legacy will be free of tax and may reduce your inheritance tax bill. A bequest can be of any size – even a modest amount, or just a small percentage of your estate can make a lasting difference.

If you are considering leaving a legacy, either a specific gift, a specific art work, or the residue from your estate please contact us for further information.
