The Foyer
Our busy Coffee Bar is open Monday – Saturday, 10am – 4pm serving hot and cold drinks, snacks and wonderful locally made cakes. The evening bar is open an hour before events and screenings, and is fully licensed with a range of alcoholic and soft drinks available.
Our Box Office volunteers will be happy to assist you with enquiries and bookings for all screenings, events and workshops. The Box Office is open for in person and telephone bookings Monday to Saturday, 10am – 4pm, and from 6pm on performance evenings. In addition, we are available for bookings via telephone on weekday performance evenings between 4 and 6pm.
Our varied programme of craft and gallery exhibitions can be found on display in the gallery space and craft cabinets within The Foyer. Click here to see details of upcoming exhibitions. Admission to the exhibition space is free of charge.

The Foyer incorporates a space for informal small scale performances, and plays host to our monthly Foyer Folk night. We also run a programme of free events in The Foyer area including Sip & Sketch, Language Cafés, Sing-Alongs, and the Number 8 Readers’ Groups. The Foyer bar is open most evenings and provides the perfect setting for private parties or drinks with friends. Why not arrange an exclusive get-together in the upstairs mezzanine area prior to a screening or show? The space is available to reserve for private use from as little as £25.
