Disillusioned, washed-up
tennis professional Tom (Sam Riley) clings to his work coaching holidaymakers
at a luxury hotel in Fuerteventura. When an English couple (Stacy Martin and
Jack Farthing) turn up on the island, their presence sets in motion a chain of
events that leads to a mysterious disappearance, leaving Tom (Riley) as a
suspect. An intelligent contemporary thriller with noirish undertones and
stylistic nods to Alfred Hitchcock and Patricia Highsmith, beautifully shot
against the sun-drenched volcanic backdrop of the Canary Islands.
