
An Egg-cellent Easter Line-up at Number 8
Posted on Apr 11, 2025Number 8 is all set for an egg-cellent Easter with a line-up of family films and a live show. The arts centre will be treating audiences to screenings of animated adventure Flow (U), Disney’s Snow White (12A), and a Wicked Sing-Along (PG) on the big screen. Plus, there’s the opportunity for families to meet much-loved children’s writer and illustrator Nick Sharratt as he takes to the Number 8 stage with his show Nick Sharratt’s Picture Book Drawalong.
Family films for the Easter holidays include Flow (U) an award-winning animated tale that follows a courageous cat on a wondrous journey after his home is devastated by a great flood, screening on Mon 14 Apr, 2.00pm and Thu 17 Apr, 11.00am. On Saturday 19 April, 2.00pm and 7.30pm, audiences are invited to raise their voice at a Wicked Sing-Along (PG) the untold story of the witches of Oz with lyrics on screen so everyone can join in on. There’s also Disney’s Snow White (12A), a live-action reimagining of the classic Disney animation with beloved characters Snow White, Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, and Sneezy, and the not-so-beloved Evil Queen, screening on Fri 18 Apr, 2.00pm, Tue 22 Apr, 11.00am and Thu 24 Apr, 2.00pm. Film ticket prices start at just £7.
Nick Sharratt’s Picture Book Drawalong, on Wednesday 16 April, 2.00pm is a family-friendly, fun-filled drawalong for all ages led by the renowned illustrator. Nick will be taking a look at some of his favourite books, showing children how to create characters like Tracy Beaker and Timothy Pope, sharing ways to invent crazy creatures, and giving loads of top tips as they draw along with him. Audiences are invited to bring pencils, paper, and something to lean on and expect plenty of chances to join in. The show is perfect for everyone aged 4 years and above. Tickets priced at £12 for adults and £10 for children are on sale now.
